Vivian Rayford
Biography of Vivian Rayford
I was born in Virginia, grew up in D.C., attended the University of DC, and got a degree in Advertising Design. I worked for the Federal Govt in Maryland and Washington DC then later returned to my hometown in VA for a few years, moved back to Maryland and attended Montgomery College in Rockville, MD from 1990 to 1994. My majors were art, graphics and public administration. I have worked in graphics, desktop publishing and in administration for nonprofit and profit organizations.
I relocated to Phoenix in 1999, then Tucson Arizona. Oh, the mountains completely surround Tucson! I participate in art groups everyday to make colorful paintings with PSA Art Awakening. I retired two years ago and I am now creating inspirational posters in my spare time to help lift the spirits of people around me with my art combined with poetry or prose.
I am an artist first and foremost. I love to paint pictures of mountains and now the desert. I also write poetry and fiction, especially sci fi.
My interests are to use my creativity to help with social programs for young people in the arts.
